    College football games on Sirius...

I'm thinking about purchasing a Sirius satellite radio, main reason is for tailgating. It looks like they have all the Iowa State football games, does anyone know if they have any pre-game shows that are worth listening to? If they dont' start the broadcast until 15 minutes before kick-off it wouldn't do me much good.

    Thanks,

They just simulcast the "Cyclone Radio Networks" telecast -- pregame and everything IF we're the home team. Otherwise, it's the other team's broadcast.

Also, before the merger between XM and Sirius, XM had become the official satellite provider of Big 12 sports and I think that a few of Iowa State's games are heard on XM instead of Sirius now.

If you were looking for a radio I have one that I haven't had hooked up for a while. It's a Sportster 4 with a car kit and home kit. Message me if you are interested.

I have had Sirius for about three seasons now. They broadcast every ISU football and b-ball game. I have listened to Cyclone football while waterfowling in the middle of nowhere in Canada. They also send a weekly e-mail telling you which channel the game is on. Well, well worth the money in my opinion. Also check out station 23 hair nation. It is awesome!!!

I know XM has conference dedicated stations, one of which is the Big 12 and I have listened to ISU games when I was out of the area, but they are pretty much just the game as other games are on the stations before or after

The Big 12 has contracted with XM for championship games, and one selected "game of the week." Oklahoma State and Texas are also with XM. I believe the rest of the league is with Sirius.
