ESPN's take on the Big XII's QBs

Read what Ivan Maisel says about ISU's QB (2nd from bottom):

No mention at all of Bates! The nat'l media has just assumed that Arnaud's got the job wrapped up because he got some significant PT last season. I guess we'll all find out in less than 2 weeks...

Re: ESPN's take on the Big XII's QBs

It seems it's always the year of the quarterback in the Big XII every couple of years. Good conferences are like that.

Re: ESPN's take on the Big XII's QBs

I don't agree with the Favre/Rogers analogy he makes. I don't think too many people in Green Bay were chanting Aaron Rogers name last year like the folks in Jack Trice were for Arnaud. A part of me was sad to see Bret go, but a bigger part of me is excited for the future of Arnaud/Bates.

All he has to do to become a lazy reporter instead of a bad reporter is get someone in the midwest to send him a quib about the QB's at ISU. Then he'd have Bates covered.

The only analogy he's making is that Bret was a four year starter, as Favre was a long time starter, and Arnaud (or, Arnates) will be the new guy stepping into those shoes.

Re: ESPN's take on the Big XII's QBs

Well there is a QB controversy at Texas and they didn't say anything about that. It was just a quick article about QB's in the Big 12. Some people here read in to everything way to much

The individual articles may not have been that great, but it was still good buzz for the Big 12. We need all the good buzz we can get.

    I prefer Baud.

    Of course I'm a computer geek . . .

May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.)

Nothing like not being good enough to play at one school, transfering to another, and then still being 3rd string.
