    Arnaud mention on espn.com

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Interesting that they don't even mention that he might not be the starting QB come game time.

For real? They had those 2 names in the same sentence? If so, I'm not even opening that link.

I don't find it interesting as much as I find it lazy. Pretty typical of national sports media, especially regarding the little guy (ISU) that no one outside of this state cares about.

They call Arnaud "our own Aaron Rodgers." How exactly? The author does not say. Pretty lame.

    Re: Arnaud mention on espn.com

Guys it is pretty easy to figure out. Meyer has been our starter for 4 years. Favre has been the Green Bay starter for as long as people can remember. Both ISU and Green Bay are bringing in new QB's. That's the only comparison the guy is making. He is not saying that Meyer is Bret Favre or that Arnaud is Rodgers. All he is saying is that it has been a long time since either team had somebody besides those two starting behind center.

And his job is not to name starting QB's. All he is doing is going down the list of Big 12 QB's. Word out of Texas is that Colt McCoy may lose his starting job to Chiles. Who cares?

I liked this little nugget from the article:

Arnaud is homegrown and has Cyclones bones. His dad, John, started in the Iowa State secondary from 1980 to 1982. As if enough isn't expected of Arnaud, the hometown hero, Dad went 3-0 against Iowa.

I forgot Kirby Freeman transfered to Baylor. He could put up some big numbers under Briles.

Out of curiousity, I followed the link from the article. Interesting that Austen just turned twenty--the day after Independence Day.
