Position change? I did not see what his speed was, a possible safety in the making? He could be a huge safety, just the type I like.

    Slot receiver

    Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
    'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

I know I talk about not settling for lower star or whatever recruits, but, getting those from Iowa are still important. Happy about the pickup.

What do we know about his friend, Darion Howard?

I agree. I love getting big name recruits, but we definitely want to get the local guys. It helps build the fan base too.

    Re: Scout talks with Lenz

I know the early word is that he will start off at slot receiver, but I think he would make a pretty good safety. After a couple years with Shep, could be a lot like Nik Moser. The Rival's video shows that he has pretty good quickness and burst. May lack the elite top-end gear, but still a really good pick-up.

The article says that he is trying to get Howard because they are friends.

    Re: Scout talks with Lenz

I like Chizik is fed up with de-commits and flat out tells him that he doesn't want him de-commiting. That's good to hear since he is a 2010 commit.

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

I love it when recruits go out and help you recruit. As fas as stars go if he has a good season this year he could add a star or two. He is probably only a one star because nobody has taken time to rate him with him being a 2010 recruit.

Scout has him in the wrong class. He is a senior this year.

"Huge" safety? He's six feet tall!

That's really not true. It's winning that builds the fan base, and winning simply requires getting the best players, regardless of where they're from. Unfortunately, right now Lez reminds me an awful lot of one of Mac's infamous "filler" recruits that cluttered (and clogged) the roster.

What about this staff makes you think that they would be so desperate for WRs with signing day still six months away that they would offer and accept a commitment from a "filler" recruit? Would you feel better if Rivals put an extra star next to his name?
