    LCD/Plasma wall mount?

I am trying to decide which wall mount to get for my new tv. It is a 42" Plasma.

Curious if someone has something they either like or can tell me to avoid.

These are the ones I am looking at:

For only $39.32 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Adjustable Tilting/Swiveling Wall Mount Bracket for LCD Plasma (Max 125Lbs, 32~52inch) | LCD Plasma Bracket - Tilting/Swiveling Type

For only $18.80 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Adjustable Tilting Wall Mount Bracket for LCD Plasma (Max 165Lbs, 37~63inch) - BLACK | LCD Plasma Bracket - Tilting Tye

I don't really need to extra movement the first one gives, but it seems to me it would be nice to have a little extra space if you need to mess with the cables for whatever reason.

Or if someone has a suggestion on one I didn't list I am all ears

I think the tilt feature would be nice in case you have any glare issues. You're looking at monoprice so that's a good start right there.

Have you already put in the cabling?

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Mustang-MV-TILT3-Mount-Adjustable-50-inches/dp/B000F5K3Y8"]Amazon.com: Mustang MV-TILT3 Tilt Wall Mount Adjustable for TV's up to 50-inches: Electronics[/ame]

I use this one, the mustang wall mount.

I got it free when I bought my 42" Plasma about 1.5 years ago.

The tilt feature is nice for a wall mount so you can position the TV a bit higher on the wall to make it look aesthetically appealing but tilt the TV down slightly to get a good line of sight to the television.

As far as running cables behind the TV when it is mounted, I have found tilting the TV up gives enough room to connect and remove cables if needed. No need to have to take the TV off from the wallmount.

In the case that you have to remove the TV from the wall (such as painting) the TV comes off easily too, can be moved with 2 people.

No cabling yet going to get a hdmi cable and some new component cables from monoprice when I order. Also I believe both of the ones I listed have a tilt option, just one of them is tilt and swivel.

On another note I was thinking of getting something to mount on the wall under the TV to put the HD DVR box and dvd player on anyone have any recommendations there?

    A couple of things.

If you have easy access to inside the wall now I would put a couple HDMI cables back there in case you decide to add something else later.

As far as a putting the components underneath the TV, do you have a closet nearby where you could stick them instead and then use an IR repeater? I like hiding all my stuff whenever possible.

    Re: LCD/Plasma wall mount?

I was not really planning on putting the cables inside the wall.

The thought had crossed my mind but I was just going to dangle them for now.

Are there plates you can get from there to put them in the wall? Or did you just poke a hole and fish them through to the bottom?

Also not sure what your last part was saying but the wall behind the TV is a closet.

If you did this you could keep all the things like the Directv and the DVD player in a closet out of site but still be able to control them with a remote.

I don't think I really need to goto all that trouble at this time. I don't mind the boxes in the living room.

Yeah, I'm kind of a fanatic and not always in a good way.
