Just how good is Harrison Barnes

In the Nike Global Challenge, HB scored 22 pts and had 8 rebounds, while committing 0 turnovers. He did all this on a team of 5 star players that are a year ahead of him in school.

Could Harrison end up being a Kevin Durant like freshman?

Not necessarily to the first couple of posters on this subject but with many of the individuals on this board the first thing I think of when Harrison Barnes comes up is this:

Especially when the topic of him and his gf came up. Some of it is kind of scary.

Re: Just how good is Harrison Barnes

Do you think if Harrison keeps improving and simply becomes a Kevin Durant type of player and he is thinking of going 1 and done. Will that help ISU's chances...if he is a 1 and done, why not just go to the local school and make everyone happy.

Yes, it will help ISU chances - even 1 and done. They do play in Big 12 and he will receive exposure like Beasley.

Re: Just how good is Harrison Barnes

Sheer guesswork. The odds seem to be that Harrison will decide no time soon, and we cannot guess by which criteria he will select a school.

However, if he waits until after this season, I can only hope that Coach Mac's squad puts together a strong year, to prove to Harrison that the Cyclones can be competitive. One more factor in our favor.

Re: Just how good is Harrison Barnes

Any chance we can reprogram his brain to be a horrible player? All these other teams lose interest and we program it back just after he commits to ISU?

'Cuz I wonder if that's about the only way we'll get him...
