Arrow Skid loader & operator needed - $200 for little work

We just got 9 tons of pea gravel for our driveway near Valley Junction and I'm in need of some assistance moving it around a bit. I'm guessing it would only take about 45 minutes for somebody with a skid loader and any sort of experience. I've moved as much as my back will let me and am giving up:)

If anybody has a skid loader, or knows of somebody that would help, please email me at the address in my signature

    $200 sound right?

Re: Skid loader & operator needed - $200 for little work

I wonder if $200 would be enough to rent a skid loader for an afternoon? Because half the fun of renting a skid loader is using it yourself! The lever on the left moves the left-hand wheels foward/backwards, the lever on the right moves the right-hand wheels. Push them opposite directions to spin around in circles . One floor pedal raises and lowers the bucket, one floor pedal tilts the bucket. Raise the bucket way up in the air and push both levers forward to do a wheelie!

Not helpful, I know, but it is pretty easy to learn and get the basics down. I'm willing to bet (say 10,000 credits?) that you could learn the operation well enough to move some gravel around.

I thought about it but I don't have the hitch on my SUV yet so I'd have to have the rental place deliver and then a contractor come to fix the hole I'd put in the side of the house

I will take that bet. I have spent many of hours on a skid loader and I know Jeremy.

Not really...depends on what type of skid-loader your running. Cat has directional steering with just your left joystick. The right joystick controls your bucket. The pedal at feet is for more power. You can set this with a bar type deal on your right that you push down so you don't need to use pedal. Theres a trigger to put the bad boy into high gear...well atleast the ones I've operated and those are skidsteers. Those boys are fun, and have never gotten stuck. Even in 2 foot of gunky mud. Oh and lots of speed, and they wont tear up your yard as much as wheel skid-loader. And those bounce all over hell when your driving them with a big load. the track ones wont bounce and spill gravel all over the place.

If you can find one to rent, I can run it for you and wouldn't charge you a dime. They are fun to run.

Anybody ever see this video. This cat knows what he's doing.........

I know, I have run skid loaders since I was about 12 and could ride pretty good wheelies on them but never thought of loading them up like that.

Watching that video reminded me a little of "Breakin 2, Electric Bugaloo"

I can run one, I usually do when we rent one for our farm. But I do live a little ways from DM.

I have no skidloader, but ran one for many years back on the farm.

I've got a saved email of that thing loading up on a coal train but it is in still photographs so I thought it would be too much to upload 6 pictures. You found one better anyway. COOL.....

If you move your house to eastern Iowa I could bring my skidloader over to help
