Former Central Michigan University assistant wrestling coach Casey Cunningham is the newest member of the Iowa State wrestling staff.

Cunningham, 31, joined the ISU staff last week after seven years as an assistant coach at Central Michigan, his alma mater.

"I've known him for several years and watched him compete and watched him as a coach," said ISU head coach Cael Sanderson. "The success Central Michigan has had with him there has been unbelievable. He's the weight class we needed as a coach, so everything was perfect. He's the guy that we wanted, and so we're really, really happy that he's joining our staff."
