Definitely happy for him, but I was hoping another team would swoop in and grab him. He has played well enough to start on some teams.

Good for him. Although, I would like to see him get a chance to be a starter somewhere, because he has played well in his three starts.

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

why? I was hoping after this season that some team would see that he is obviously a capable starter and go after him. I would much rather see him get a crack at being somebody's #1 (specifically the Vikings).

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

thats awesome.. i cant really see wallace in any other jersey..the reason i say this is because he knows the offense so well, and him goin to another team, it may take him a lil longer to get to know the Offense, heck u heard them sayin he went to a school b4 this season to learn the O more, if he went to a new team, who knows how long it could take him to learn the offense..i am not saying he isnt capable but just somthin u have to think about

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

While it's good, I'm not thrilled with it. Hopped he'd end up somewhere else with a chance to be the starter.

He still could, if someone offered Seattle enough in trade.

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

He is certainly a success on the field and I hope he feels good enough about his ISU experience to be a good ambasador for us. Does anyone know his academic history? Does Wallace have a degree from ISU?

What's a solid backup QB pulling down these days?

Didn't Sage get something like $2M per year?

I've been following Seattle since their inception. Rumor has it, that he could be used as trade bait.

Any idea on who would need him, or what Seattle would want in return?

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

They think someone like Tampa might offer up a 2nd rounder for him. But, of course, that's all speculation.

They have the rookie playing great. Would they want him as a starter?

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

My theory is that he won't get picked anywhere to automatically be the starter. But, I could see a team bringing him in who's starting QB position was "up for grabs" so to speak. In Seattle, Hasslebeck is the starter, so there's really no chance for him to move up. It's all just hearsay at this moment anyway.

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

If we're looking at possible destinations for Wallace - Tampa would surprise me. The teams that wouldn't are...

Green Bay (Farve this year or in the next 1-2, Rodgers not special in camp)
    Minnesota (they need help)
    Detroit (ditto)
    Washington (ditto again)
    Dallas (Yay! Homer pick)
    Carolina (Jake isn't that young)
Miami (another team in need of help)
Oakland (they need more than help)
Cleveland (maybe Frye is not the guy)

    Re: Wallace Gets Extension

I wonder how he would fit into Atlanta's offense. I know that they will never get rid of Vick, but that guy either has a huge day or does NOTHING. Seneca plays pretty consistent ball. He would get to showcase his running ability more as well. Are there any other teams in the NFL with similar offenses? Him going to Green Bay would tickle me pink, maybe make it easier to see Farve go (probably not though) because if a familiar face being there instead of some other guy.
