    Cyclone fanatic--Tops in Iowa?

Is there a message board in Iowa that gets more traffic than CF?

I'd be surprised if there was. At least, on the sports side of things.

Statistically at least, no. There may or may not be some that get more posts (we have around 1,500 per day) as I have no way of tracking that - however, I use some online metrics to glance at traffic and we are numero uno. Not that it makes much difference, I would rather we keep to our niche and keep what we have going rather than try to only keep outnumbering other places.

Iowa Preps used to get a ton of posts and has since gone straight down the tubes.

I personally think the golden key rule to keeping the same atmosphere as you grow is to have great mods that stick to the rules and enforce them. As you get bigger, you obviously have a greater number of problems, however, if you have active mods that stick to their guns, it stays pretty civil. I know we have some people that disagree with some of the mods here, but it's just because they're enforcing the rules that help ensure that what we have going doesn't degrade.

Exactly. That's one reason I like this site. Moderators are consistent and keep it relatively civil while letting people get their opinions out. Props Mod.

This board is supposed to be civil??? Actually I have noticed that it is a lot less confrontational than it used to be, of course that is probably a direct result of me getting older :)

It's not just mods enforcing rules, either. The mods on CF are also good at taking forum members aside and training/educating/mentoring them on posting etiquette.

Just ask me how I know this....

    Thanks, Angie/Jeremy/Keep!

How exactly do you know this? Isn't posting etiquette that if you aren't stirring controversy you aren't trying hard enough?

Well, let me just say that there is "stirring controversy" and there is STIRRING CONTROVERSY, if you will.

All I know is we are the 167,399 most visited page in America. The 453,208 most visited page in the world. Oh and only 80% of the visitors are from the U.S.

But that's pretty decent considering there is around 108,810,358 total websites. Top half of a percent if my math is correct.

So what should we chant, we're 167,399th! or we're 453,208th!
