    ESPN - Brewers vs. Reds - Recap - August 04, 2008

Will the Brewers respond to this? Or just continue their slide?

I don't know if it was a jack...looked like a push to the body, then a push to the face...not punches.

Yost said it best...they are a family 8 months out of the year and it's nothing big. If you see your neighbors fighting you don't go over there and ask them what was going on.

No one said that last year when Big Z and Barret went at it...

What he said was bogus. I'd probably agree with him if it happened in the tunnel or in the clubhouse, but not when it takes place in the dugout where all the cameras and everyone at the game can see it happening.

Yes, I agree. Tempers are way high in that dugout of late.

Fielder has all the makings of being a spoiled baby to me, he needs to control his temper imo.

    Re: Fielder Jacks Parra

i really think this is a sign that the brewers are choking down the strech just like last year. after the cubs had their fight last year they got rid of the problem by trading barrett. brewers will finish in third i think

I don't know that Yost said it best. It probably did not come out they way he meant it. But, if I saw neighbors "fighting," I don't think it is always proper to sick your head in the sand. (Especially if the aggressor outweighs the other by 75 lbs or more.)

I would have thought that big Prince could have done better than a limp wristed slap.

    Re: Fielder Jacks Parra

This stuff happens all the time. Most of the time it is in the locker room or tunnel. It's really no big deal. If Prince wanted to hurt him he would have punched him. He pushed him because he just wanted to get his attention...

I think Parra ate Fielder's last bag of Cheetos.

Exactly my thoughts. If it had taken place somewhere that no one saw it and the media got word of it, that's a different story. This took place in the most visible area for a team short of being on the field. I think Yost should have done a better job of sorting out the issue to the fans/media. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out.

I don't really see this as a big deal....if anything its good. Shows that the players care about the teams' performance.
