What do you mean, "he can become the player we know he can become"...?

He's a starter on a great NFL team.

I am not impressed with Hobbs. I give him negative props for saying his highschool in nationally televised games.... Give some love to ISU Hobbs! Also, don't get burned in the superbowl again!

You obviously haven't seen the pictures of him wearing his Iowa State shirt under his jersey or when he wears it to media interviews and stuff like that.

The whole high school thing has been beat to death on this board way too many times. It was a one time thing of saying it and they used it all year.

no kidding.. who cares what he says... he does wear iowa state gear all the time on tv

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

and why can't the guy give some love to his High School? They always mention what college the guy went to on the air but never his HS. Might as well give them some recognition also.

Maybe the greatest coach in history (tongue firmly planted in cheek) shouldn't throw him out on an island by himself against a receiver who is almost a foot taller. Ask Al Harris and Charles Woodson about the quality of Mr. Burress.

Oh snap! Hobbs getting burned in the superbowl isn't the only time. I got to watch a lot of the Pats on TV (I'm sure all of you have too)... It seems like every big play the Pats gave up in the air was blown coverage by him... He seems to fall a lot.

I like to root for ISU guys and he did a great job here. I just feel like he isn't starting corner-worthy in the NFL...

Did he not sign an autograph for you sometime or something?

The blown coverage was a horrible call in the Super Bowl and wasn't the first time they called a bad play during the season. His height is the main problem, but not something to knock him on.

Yes. I had an experience with Hobbs like "Stan" by Eminem....

Seriously, I want the dude to play well. He's just inconsistent. He is capable of making the big play, but he's capable of allowing the big play too. He'd do well as a Nickel or Dime Back and kick returner.

I'm just calling it like I see it. I'm not rooting against the guy or anything.

You "he didn't mention ISU when introduced" people really amuse me.

    "Oh snap!"

You just described not only every corner in the league - but basically every football player to have ever played the game!

Well, it's a good thing you know more than his coaches...
I don't care what Ellis says during intros, he's fun to watch.

Doesn't that describe about 95% of all defensive backs at all levels of football? Very few guys become shutdown corners. It is a very tough position to play, especially when you line up across from guys like Plaxico Burress each weekend.

I wonder why they didn't double team burress on that last touchdown
