I haven't heard too many bad things about LGs, but Sharp and Samsung also get great reviews. Tech product reviews for cell phones, computers, MP3 players - CNET is a good website.

We have a 47" TOshiba and a 37" Samsung. The Samsung blows the other away. Love it!

    Re: 42" - 47" lcd tv recommendations??

I'm in the market for a 26" (or 32" or so) TV, but new ones are out of my budget. If anybody here is looking to upgrade to a larger set, I'd be happy to buy your used one from you. It's going to a fellow Cyclone Fanatic, so you know it'll have a great home! Let me know if you have one to sell or know anybody that does.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Look at Vizios at Sam's Club. Buy a memebership and you'll still save quite a bit over what you can get them for elsewhere. Research the individual models but the price is unbeatable.

You can look around without getting a membership to see if it's worth it.

my parent's bought a 46" samsung during the superbowl sale at Best Buy last year and it is very, very nice. Plus they got an amazing deal on it. (I think it was marked down over a grand from what it normally was). I'm waiting to see if the same deals come around again to buy myself a large TV.

I keep walking by this one at Sams when I go in there. I am not really in the market but for $900 it makes me reconsider.

I've read that prices for LCDs should come down in the fall. They've been stagnant lately.

My parents have a 42'' Samsung and swear by it. It's one reason coming home isn't so bad.

I debated between the 42" Samsung & Vizio for about an hour at the store alone and ended up with the Vizio, couldnt be happier after 9 months.

If you're looking for cheaper models (aka - not the "big names"), I like the Olevias better than the Vizios.
