    rep points question

when you go to user CP and it shows the reps you have received, are the blue ones negative and the green ones positive? I just got my first green, but had two blues. I wasn't sure, cuz I didn't have a stupid post or anything, so I was lost on the colors thing.

I love giving out the good rep, let's keep it

I don't know how the whole thing works. I have some green and even a gray square. Magic, I guess.

    Re: rep points question

Green is positive and given by people with a positive rep. Blue can be either negative or positive, but doesn't change your rep level, because it's given by someone who doesn't have any points yet (hence, the system doesn't see them as able to affect others' rep - either because they haven't posted or gotten rep).

    GM4ISU - here's some positive for you. :)

Thanks Angie! I was wondering a couple times when I got blue and the rep points didn't change.

    Re: rep points question

Green = positive rep and points was increased.
Grey = positive or negative rep but the giver of rep was not able to affect your rep one way or the other.
Red = negative rep and your rep level was decreased.

Your reputation is negative. ( you have received more negative rep than positive from other users)

    Re: rep points question

Red is negative - somebody either didn't like what you had to say or the way you said it. I've seen a few times where people have just left bad rep to be disagreeable, too. Gray is the same as blue described above (shows up differently on different monitors).

    Does that help?

A lot of people here can't handle those of us that go against the status quo, and lash out in the only way they can.

Too bad really, in the end we all want what is best for ISU, which includes accurate and accountable reporting of facts. But, when people are challenged, they either ignore your post (right ISUFan22?) or they try to discredit you. Doesn't matter to me much, I'll be around long after this site is gone.

    Re: rep points question

Did I not respond to every little word you had to say in a thread where you were less than cordial to the owner of CF? I'm sorry, shame on me for not valuing your disrespectful opinion more.

Of course, that's just my opinion too.

Yet I didn't feel the need to call you out in an entirely separate thread now, did I?

Less than cordial? How so? Everything I posted is factual, unlike your post regarding true journalists. So, where's all this proof you have?
