    Kauffman stadium

I'm thinking about stopping in KC on my way to Iowa this weekend and catching the Royals and the Red Sox.

I've never been to Kauffman, so I'm not sure where the good seats are located.

I found 4 in section 320 row H on the first base side.

How are these? From the picture, it looks pretty good.

    Re: Kauffman stadium

There are no bad seats in that stadium. They built the stadium with a family concept. The idea being that you can take your kids to the ballpark, enjoy the game and spend time with each other.

I sat in the front row up the upper deck right up from first base aboue a month ago and we could see great.

    Also, their scoreboard is enormous.

It's one of the most underrated ballparks in baseball if you ask me. I've never had a bad seat there.

    Re: Kauffman stadium

Just FYI, the White Sox are in town this weekend, the series with the Red Sox doesn't start until Monday.

As for the seats, you would probably be fine in the seats you are looking at. It is a pretty nice ballpark and there aren't many bad seats to be had. The upper deck is pretty huge though, so I wouldn't get too high or you may not feel like you are part of the action. Also, for late afternoon and evening games sitting on the 3rd baseline will put the sun behind you and get you in the shade before the rest of the stadium. It is supposed to be really hot here this weekend, so that may be something else to consider.

Things are currently under construction there, so the stadium is a little torn up right now. But they have put in a new videoboard, the largest HD display in the world (yes, even bigger than Godzillatron a U Texas). Enjoy your stop in KC!

Agreed....proves you don't have to hava a billion dollar facility to be a great ballpark.

    Re: Kauffman stadium

I sat in the top row of the stadium when Iowa State played Florida State, Had to catch a baseball game prior to the football, gave a nice break from the 24 hour tailgate as well.

I agree, not a bad seat in the stadium.

Get some barbeque while you are there, Arthur Bryant's or Oklahoma Joe's.

    Re: Kauffman stadium

Do they still offer the seats down the right and left field lines, towards the wall as General Admission? We almost always used to go down there early and pick up those tickets. They were cheap and if you got their early enough, were sitting right on the outfield wall. I remember razzing Harold Baines as a kid down there one year, after he misjudged a fly ball. Some great memories down there as a kid.

Not sure if they are still Genaral Admission, but they are still pretty darn cheap. I think they go for like $6. I would imagine those seats are probably in the running for being the cheapest seats in pro baseball.

WOW, really? Still that cheap. I haven't been to a game there in probably 15 years and I think I paid $4.50 back then. WOW, that makes me want to go to a game now.

    Re: Kauffman stadium

There isn't GA anymore. Section 320 will be good seats. You may be in the sun for a little while, but it's not bad. The other side of the stadium is where the shade usually is.

    Re: Kauffman stadium

They are up to $8 for the cheapest now. You will probably be able to move down if you wanted to they get some good weekend crowds but never full and if the seats are empty they don't really worry about people moving down.

    Re: Kauffman stadium

Kauffman Stadium is quite possibly the most underrated ballpark in the Major Leagues -- not a bad seat in the house.
