Dream pill for the fat and lazy!

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/01/sc...tml?ref=dining

To be honest, I have no idea what to say about this. I have too many close relatives who are really unhealthy simply because they are too lazy to walk three feet to save their own lives. A pill for such people would seem like a tragedy, really.

    But exercise is fun!

One drug, known as Aicar, increased the mice’s endurance on a treadmill by 44 percent after just four weeks of treatment.

A second drug, GW1516, supercharged the mice to a 75 percent increase in endurance, but had to be combined with exercise to have any effect.

Guess which one is more likely to catch on with people.

They are going to have create alot more fat pills to save the kids growing up today. I cant fill up my car up or walk into a gas station with out seeing some overweight 10 year old with 44 oz cup of MT dew (and usually playing one of those DS games). When I was a kid if I was real, real good for a week I would get a bottle one bottle of Dew and a little debbie. And I usually saved half of it to last the weekend.

naaaaah, we ran 8 miles today and the suffering was just as enjoyable as any other day

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

That cracks me up because just a few hours ago I saw a fat kid on a scooter carrying a 2 liter of Mountain Dew in one hand. I hope you enjoy wheezing your way through gym class son!

I ran my 6 mile route 4 days this week including last night and tonight. Early this week was fine, but the last few days I've come in maaad sweaty! I'm hoping to make the 10 mile Capital Pursuit this year. I've still got a way to go.
