    Shrine game question

I've been gone since last Friday and I was wondering if anyone has commented on the Shrine game played in Ames last Saturday night?

Was McDonough our only representative? If so, how did he look to everyone?

What about Iowa's recruits? Did any of them look good? Not that I care about Iowa, but I was really just curious which players out there looked good?

With McDonough adding so much weight, did he dominate like he should have?

I know Guyer kicked and I think Mahoney may have as well.

I didn't go to the game but I do know that McDonough is putting up some ridiculous bench numbers right now for a freshman. He may be our biggest guy on the team from a height and weight standpoint.

Did anyone see how fast McDonough was? Just wondering if he is able to keep up his speed for pass rush since hes put on all that weight. I think hes put on over 50lbs in the last year.

    Re: Shrine game question

Jake wasn't our only representative. We had a couple of kickers as well. Jake will be a DT. He doesn't have the explosion neccessary to play DE at the Division I level.

Iowa's kids looked alright. The QB throws a very nice ball, but the south's WR's caught the ball which is more than most Iowa Wr's can do. Robinson looked good in that game, but I don't think he'll be a D-I rb. The LB from Xavier(?) looked good. I don't know if he'll be good enough to play LB at Iowa, but he was definitely around the ball alot. All in all, I think that game is more indicative of what the IIAC schools are getting versus what ISU and Iowa are getting.

Did Wartburg have any studs playing?
