    Re: team captains?

There were no "team captains" last year. Coin flip representatives were on a week-by-week basis. I expect the same thing this year.

No last name on jersey...no designated captains...shadowed poster/commercial = team concept. Love it.

Kurtis Taylor definitely, if there are permanent captains

His name sounds good in your ear
But when you say it, you mustn't fear
Because his name can be said by anyone!”

    Re: team captains?

i think there should beone off and one def captains picked by the team at the begining then the other 2 determined by the week prior leading up to the games

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

    Re: team captains?

I think one offensive and one defensive is enough total. I am not totally into the idea of multiple captains, although I could see advantages.

I know Chizik wants to recognize the team and not individuals but I still think it would be pretty cool to get the names on the back of the jerseys

    Re: team captains?

I think we should go with 4 permanent captains. 2 on offense and 2 on defense.

My choices would be Jason Scales, RJ Sumrall, Jesse Smith, and Kurtis Taylor.

I like the names on the jerseys expecially when I am trying to remember so many new names each year....

    Re: team captains?

I like the idea of 4 captains. Not sure if it would be better to have 4 permanent captains or 2 permanent captains with 2 being decided each week. I think KT and RJ would be two for sure. After that I would think Jesse Smith and Scales if they were to do 4 permanent.
