OK, here's what I don't get: If you look at the completion percentage between the two QBs, it was nearly identical. Tate had a slightly higher percentage (less than 2%), yet Tate is rated a 90 and Meyer an 84...not to mention that Meyer threw more deep balls and had more of a pass rush. Another thing, why does Tate have a higher injury number than Meyer? Has Meyer ever missed a game? I guess he got knocked out for a series vs Mizzou in 2004, but Tate got knocked out for a whole half last fall. Personally, I don't believe that Tate has better throwing power either.

When the ratings/rankings of QB's on a game system are being discussed on a message board...

    It must be the off-season!

And what do "tackle", "kick power" and "kick accuracy" have to do with rating a QB? How could Meyer or Tate be rated on such attributes?

Each player in the game can be put in any position (if you are crazy enough to do so). WHen you customize a team you could potentially move the QB to kicker. I don't know how they get these ratings, but they most likely only look at specific attributes to rate a position.

I think that this shows that Tate's rating for "Tackle" is incorrect. How could Meyer and Tate be equal in tackling ability when Tate can't tackle without knocking himself out.

He's the only Big XII QB in the top 25.

I have to call major crap on this one. Meyer is at least a 45 in both kicking power and accuracy!

This brings up a good point.....In Madden (If Flutie wouldnt have retired) would he have more kick power/accuracy points?

Usually they are pretty good at getting those odd ratings of guys that have played mulitiple postitions. For example, Flynn last year had pretty decent passing ratings.

I agree with what you are saying completely but I will tell you exactly what my buddy at EA who actually works on the game would tell me. If you boost his acc. then his overall rating will go thru the roof. For instance go and try and create a player and give him all of Myer's stats with Tate's accuracy. He will probably be Top 5 QB.

Did you tell your friend who you think the sleeper will be this year, or are you going to keep it a secret?
