Sting operations-does the gov't sometimes go to far?

Police set up a sting in a park and men are arrested for lewd behavior. The mens behavior is illegal but should their lives be ruined? He says he was told to plead guilty and did so to avoid a harsher punishment that would have come had Giles pled innocent and then been found guilty. Afterward, his employer fired him. "When I lost my job over it my wife was so upset and distraught and distressed that she had a major heart attack."

The fact that in Columbus it's fine for women to be topless and as soon as a guy exposes himself he gets arrested is bs. I don't have a real issue with the sting itself, because if you get busted in Iowa, it does ruin your life. Your name goes into the sex offender registry and it will ruin your life. My question is isn't the undercover officers asking you to show yourself entrapment?

That is his side of the story. In major cities, there are places that at night you would not believe what goes on. Especially the men looking for men sort of stuff. I lived by a park in San Diego that was famous for this sort of stuff. You did not use the bathrooms there after ten. Period. Cops usually don't do anything about it until it gets pretty bad. I don't understand the whole meeting a random guy and quickly having sex with him in a public restroom, but I guess I am just old fashioned.

I'm kind of struck by the fact that his wife only got upset with it after he lost his job....

Something tells me that wouldn't be the thing that got my wife to think about going Lorena Bobbit on me...

It is OK for men to expose their chest and nipples why shouldn't a woman be allowed to do the same. End discrimination.
