Bah! I saw this and was hoping it could just die quietly....

We actually have 3 different 'rivalries' that could fit up there, such is the life of the Iowa State football fan

Since when is OU a rival?

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Thats what I was thinking. Iowa, NU and KU/MU are the naturals and I'd pick NU as our real B12 rivals...

The list had it setup as a 'rivalry' was any series that's gone on for at least 50 years, that's all it meant

On a positive note at least we did not end up on the list twice.

I wasn't clear what define a Rivalry for them. Probably any conference game I guess.

    Re: #1 Most Lopsided Rivalry?

A few comments I found interesting:

    • Being that Iowa State had three different series that would have ranked on this list, I wonder if they might not be better off in the Mountain West or something...

Maybe they could swap for TCU, then both teams would be closer to where they belong based on performance, that is once Utah and BYU go to the PAC 10...

I still don't understand why IA St isn't in the Big-Televen, as opposed to the Big-12, given their location relative to IA and the rest of the Big-"T's" members.

My thoughts exactly. This isn't really a list of the most lopsided rivalries in college football, it is just the most lopsided series historically. There are several on there that aren't really "traditional" rivalries.

IMO the only "real" rival we have in football in the b12 is Mizzou. Nebraska doesnt count because of how bad they've creamed us over the years. We have a trophy with Mizzou.

NU and IU are also rivals. No matter who is on a hot streak and winning games.

If we were in the Big 10, it wouldn't be that much different. Michigan and Ohio State would be like Texas and Oklahoma, Penn State would be like Nebraska, and Minnesota or Wisconsin would be like Mizzou. Northwestern would like Kansas, Indiana would be like Baylor... We'd still have challenges getting to .500 in that league as well.

Financially, I don't think you could get any of the Big 10 fans to travel to Ames like you could with Nebraska and Missouri fans, however... Maybe I'm wrong.
