    Chizik is just trying to be modest. He's not going to come out and predict a bowl game. We know there will still be growing pains, but this year looks like it will be better than last year.

    Reading that just reminded me of how sick I was getting of having a "cheerleader coach" a few years back.

    Here's a quote that typifies the difference between Chizik and Brand X:

    "We don't have a lot of players that, 'Add water, instant player,'" Chizik said. "We don't have that. We've got to do a lot of developing."

    Player development? What the hell is that?

    It's good to hear. Very, very good to hear from Coach Chizik.
