    Childress leaves for Greece

ESPN - Ex-Hawk Childress signs with Greek club team - NBA

I guess it is about the money sometimes.

The NBA could be in big trouble. Euro teams can afford to pay players more than they could make in the NBA. I see basketball teams and player contracts becoming a lot more like soccer transactions in the future.

It would make the NBA look long and hard about that one and done rule.

    Re: Childress leaves for Greece

I wonder if some of this isn't driving David Stern to keep talking about expanding the NBA into Europe. As the financial differences between the leagues shrinks it's not inconceivable for more players to go to a different league a lot like the ABA-NBA days. I think the soccer analogy makes some sense.

Hockey has already had to deal with players leaving to play in Russia and just came to an agreement to respect contracts between the different leagues.
