    Soundoff tonight

Is anyone watching Soundoff tonight? I think Murphy may know something about the ISU coaching search. Notice how much Harbaugh has been brought up? Did you all see the Harbaugh interview? I have a sneaky suspicion that something may be going on with him. BTW, I would love it!

    http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports...12usdfoot.html

Midway in this article, look at what he did. They were up after scoring a TD 47-7, he went for TWO!!!!! Check out Harbaugh's comment,
“It's not our job to stop ourselves,” said Harbaugh. “The responsibility goes to them. They had beaten us 10 straight times before we beat them once."
    WOW!
The end of the article is ISU talk.

    Re: Soundoff tonight

what is with all the people calling and saying that mac should not have been let go (Mac is great, this is not a put-down)????? If they were really behind the guy, they would have been at the last couple of home games. those empty stands spoke volumes for how the program was going!

    Re: Soundoff tonight

I have never watched Soundoff before tonight. I probably won't again.... what a dumbed down sports show! These two guys on there do nothing but speak directly out of their egos and do nothing more but elaborate on plain jane facts. What a waste of time.

    Re: Soundoff tonight

I love Soundoff, and I can't wait until I am once again an Iowa resident so I can watch Keith and Andy Kick @$$ every week!

Living in Seattle has given me a chance to watch similar shows for other teams...Q it up Sports in Seattle does not look like a higher quality program than SoundOff.

Why are so many people excited about Harbaugh? How many top ex-players turn out to be great coaches?

    Re: Soundoff tonight

A lot of former players make great coaches. Look at Stoops, Ferentz, Ditka, Fischer, etc...

A lot of coaches go from the playing field to grad assistant. It just so happens that Harbaugh was good enough to play the next level, so he had to go a different route.

Have you noticed that just about every person calling into radio shows in defense of Mac are Hawk fans.

    Re: Soundoff tonight

Soundoff rocks. I enjoy watching how they deal with the folks who grab the phone before they engage their brain. They're a lot nicer than they need to be. "What's Bugging Andy" is a great segment and it was nice to hear his take last night on the McCarney feeding frenzy.

Exactly. He may be doing well at D-IAA, but its his first job. We need somebody that at least has a history of doing well at multiple smaller programs, or has success/experience at successful programs in D-IA and beyond.

So why don't we get the senior Harbaugh, then?

Not necessarily. It's a gamble no matter who we hire, so with a coach like Harbaugh, we can gamble big with the opportunity to win big. That's how it works for lower tier programs like ISU. We will not get a sure thing.

    Re: Soundoff tonight

I still question how he can recruit. Are most of his current players from the previous coaching regime. I believe he has been their now for three years. Have his recruits come in an replaced the existing team members.

However, if he is selcted, I will support.

I still feel JP has hidden agenda's, keeping very tightlipped, and I commend him on that. He cannot be bothered by all us couch coaches when we openly critique his candidates. In JP we trust.

    Re: Soundoff tonight

Harbaugh would rock as a coach. He brings passion, drive and a fierce competitive desire to win.

The recruiting potential would be awesome. Plus he has said he would bring a staff and recruits.

    I want Harbaugh!!!!!!
