    Who's heading to Hilton?

Just getting ready to head up to the game. Anyone else? Also, I had a conflict last night and couldn't make it. How was the crowd?

    I'm going!

It was a good crowd last night, decent noise level, good performance by the team.

    Tim-

Is it me or does it seem that the crowd has gotten quieter and is letting Cycone Alley do most of the work?

I'm on my way right now, too. The crowd was a little subdued last night - I think it being kind of a blowout did part of that.

I agree, they stepped up when they needed too. You could tell the team was exhausted - they needed the boost.

That's the way it will be until more people show up. It's hard to stay loud with so few people. Most students didn't show up today because it's the traditional study/homework day, not to mention it was the 3rd men's basketball game of the weekend. I know my voice is hoarse!!!

NO kidding! Have you been to exhibition games before? Hilton Magic didn't get started because of games against low level teams and games over Christmas Break. Wait until there really is some competition and something to get excited about.

Rahshon is such a motivator. He's always pumping up the crowd - he had everyone on their feet that last EIU possession.

    Re: Who's heading to Hilton?

There is no question the team was a out of gas. The level of defensive effort they gave Saturday night against ULM was very impressive considering they were the best team in the tourny besides the Clones. It didn't suprize me at all that they didn't have much left in the tank Sunday. The Clark/Johnson show on the boards is going to be fun to watch this year. GMAC has them crashing from both sides every time the ball goes up. GMAC's big points are defense, rebounding, and getting to the line more then the other guys. If they can pull that off with consistency, our future can be bright. Took care of the ball much better in the second half yesterday as well. Almost no turnovers or fouls. Still a long ways to go though.

As for the crowd, its still early.

    Re: Who's heading to Hilton?

Question - Are the cheers that Cyclone Alley does strictly for Cyclone Alley? I almost feel like the sides of Hilton aren't sure what to do. I'm assuming it would be better if all of Hilton were participating. Would it be possible for someone to let the North and South sides of Hilton know what they should be chanting, i.e. When the east end of Cyclone Alley says "Cyclone" and the west end says "Power", what should each side be chanting? Personally, I love it at the football games when I hear the other side of the stadium chanting back at me. I don't want to yell both parts of Cyclone Power, I just want one. Maybe the cheerleaders need to coordinate with the Cyclone Alley leaders on this one.

    Re: Who's heading to Hilton?

We actually talked about that over the weekend...get the east half of each side to go w/ the east student section, same w/ the west. Especially with the Cyclone Power chant that hopefully will become our "Cyclones Win" chant. Amy, kjh, help us out and get it started
