I emailed ESPN's Pat Forde and Gregg Doyel regarding Ferentz

I thought is was time that the national media give this story the attention is deserves. I emailed Pat Forde and Gregg Doyel regarding the mess in Iowa City. I chose these two columnists as they seem to be very outspoken and I thought they would be very interested in the developing story in Iowa City. Look what happened to Eustachy when the national media got a hold of his story. What Larry did is very minor compared to what Ferentz and Barta are accused of being part of. If the national media really decided to turn up the heat on this one it may be bye bye Captain Kirk.

I hope the BOR takes care of this and it doesn't become a national story.

Well, provided that an NCAA D-I coach being fired for "the appearance of" covering up a rape by three of his players would BE national news.

Whatever KF's intent, it now seems obvious to all but the blind that his actions or lack thereof resulted in what appears to be a cover-up.

Truthfully, even though Iowa is our biggest rival I really don't think national media attention is the greatest thing right now. First off this thing hasn't even gone to trial and more media attention could just hurt the chances it does (look at the Pierce case) and the victim will already have to face media scrutiny if this does go to trial which at that point it will become very public and a media frenzy. Some of you seem quick to "get the dirt out" but be patient and let the proceedings go as they are. This could linger over their entire season if this heads to trial and all will be revealed then once everyone goes under oath in the court room.

Let's not forget that this is about the victim seeking justice not sabatoging Iowa's FB program and anyone's name involved with the investigation.

see to me you have it wrong. this is about the girl and not kirk and the uoi's floundering rep. to bring le into this is pointless, that is done gone and not worth the time-but it is your time. truth makes great news, the truth is beginning to comeout

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

I dont see why everyone is concerned about bye bye kirk, He isnt taking that team anywhere recently, they are horrible, and we have beat Kirk a few times now. As far as im concerned, he can keep taking his 2 million dollar check and drive that program right into the ground.

You know the more I think about this, I bet this was not KF's call. I bet it is all people above him trying to keep it quiet.

I agree - seems like the UofI President was aware of the situation, as well.

I agree. And every year, they keep tacking on another year to the end of his contract, so the buyout is staying at the same $9 million or whatever it is, and possibly even increasing. At some point, the Iowa AD is going to have to bite the bullet and can him and pay the buyout, because Kirk isn't going to resign on his own and he's far too young to retire.

Another two or three years of this kind of nonsense, AND our Clones whipping his team's *** and they might actually do something about it.

The thing is, though, knowing Kirkie's past I'm not convinced his hands are clean in this either. Just with his son and the housing scandal he's shown he's willing to play the scumbag role and shrug it off with pathetic excuses.

That could well be, but still doesn't excuse KF's complicity in the matter.

And it CERTAINLY should put paid to the "KF is a decent human being" crap that his defenders keep putting out.

KF is morally vacant, at the very least.

Greg Doyle is a tool who is too busy to cover an acctual story. He is probably digging up some false recruiting scandle to bury Riccardo Patton at Northern Illinois.
