Anybody watching the VH1 The Who tribute?

If not, you should do so. Foo Fighters were good. And rest assured, The Who will play later too.

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

I've got it recording right now to watch later. Did you happen to see the history of them this winter? It's available on DVD now - lots of good Keith Moon footage.

I caught a Who concert in the Vet when Keith Moon was still alive and I was attending ISU.

For those recording it, The Flaming Lips just rocked a Tommy montage!

The Lips did a great job! I thought the Foos absolutely slayed Young Man's Blues. I'm enjoying it for sure...

Pearl Jam is slated, right? I know they cover The Who a lot in their live shows - I think there are some Who songs on almost all of those "bootleg" CD's they released.

PJ should be up soon. Tenacious D did a good job with Squeezebox accoustically.

Pearl Jam absolutely killed Love Reign O'er Me and the Real Me (kudos to Jeff Ament for nailing Entwhistle's phenomenal bass line in that one). Eddie Vedder is a pretty big Who enthusiast, hell I think the whole band is... Baba O'Reily on right now. Roger's sounding good. I wish Zac Starkey played a little more like Keith and a little less like his dad...

It amazes me that Roger can still wail - they held the world record for loudest outdoor performance for HOW long?? And he had vocal cord surgery back in the '90's, didn't he??

Any "Behind Blue Eyes"?? "Going Mobile" or "Gettin' In Tune"? I love Who's Next.
