Why is everyone talking about the Tigers?

They haven't proven anything this year...besides the fact that they are very inconsistent. When all the pundits mention the wild card, all they talk about is how they think the Tigers can win it, when there are about a 1/2 dozen teams ahead of them in that race.

Its almost like they try to outstmart themselves with these predictions, because they think its too boring to just predict that the team with the lead in the wild card race will win it. Just kind of annoying.

The Tigers pitching sucks this year, and it sucks hard.

I think people talk about them because their lineup is potent. I think they are a team that could go on a roll and win like 10 in a row. I do think that their pitching isn't great though, and if they were to make the playoffs they'd get exposed..... The media just loves big market teams... If you spend over $100 mil on payroll, you will get talked about.

Detroit 14-24 against the AL Central, including 0-6 vs KC and 5-10 vs. Minnesota.

And the media will talk about you if you spend over 100,000,000 unless you're the White Sox.

That's Chicago's fault... I think that it has the stigma of being on the South Side. Kind of dumb, though. If a team is playing well, they should get props... As a Twins fan, however, I don't mind the White Sox not getting much props..... lol

I bet not many people actually know that one of the guys tied for the AL home run lead is on the South Side.

Oh well, I'd really like to see the Twins lose at some point, but apparently once a week is all I can really hope for.
