    Twin looking at Beltre

Twins have apparently been talking to the mariners about aquiring Adrian Beltre. If we get him this would make a huge deal for streghth in the central division.

That'd be a good move for them.

Don't give up Guerra for him! Give up maybe Manship and another prospect or two. The Twins are stocked with pitching. I wouldn't give up Robertson, Guerra, and probably a couple others. I would like to see the Twins get him.

By the way, I thought you guys extending Joe Nathan was going to be a horrible move. I think I'm an idiot.

Bad Move! Isn't he locked up for another 2-3 years? At something crazy like 17 mill per? There are better 3rd basemen that could be had cheaper.

Depends if they feel they have a shot at the Sox this year.

And besides we already have a big contract the next two years with our lock at 3rd base with Mike Lamb

    Oh....wait....good 3rd basemen, my mistake.

We don't necessarily need a 3rd basemen, we just need someone who can bat behind Morneau so people don't keep walking him like the Tiggers did since Young swings at EVERYTHING and Cuddy is still out and could be out for a while

I think at 1.5 games behind the Sox... it's pretty safe to say they think they have a shot.

All 7 remaining games against them are at the Homer Dome. Huge plus for the Twins.

The biggest test comes when the Twins have to play 24 of 30 on the road... thanks to the Republican National Convention. That's going to be the tell all IMO.

The Twins will always scare me.

    Re: Twin looking at Beltre

Honestly, call me crazy, but picking up Dimitri Young as a DH, switch hitter off the bench would be a GREAT move for the twinkies right now...

I also think this would be a good move. Buscher has been playing pretty well at 3rd, but they could sure use a more reliable DH.

then we could also have the Young bro's playing together. (I believe for the first time?)

    Re: Twin looking at Beltre

I talked to Dimitri in Minneaplis, the thought of playing with his bro, who was right next to him, really choked him up. I think it would benefit them both. Dimitri has come a long way the last few years, he is a true clubhouse leader and an AWESOME guy. Not only that, he REALLY WANTS to be a twin...
