    Happy July 4th Iowa

As I wind down my Fourth of July celebration, I would like to throw out a salute to all the men and women who have fought and sacrificed so much for our ability to be free. And while I wave the red, white and blue in one hand, I wave the middle finger of my other to the current elected leaders in the state of Iowa and in Washington, who are trying hard to take our freedoms away. If you don't do a little bit of that during your Independence Day celebrations, then I would submit that you are failing to grasp it's true meaning.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I would also like to say Happy 4th to everyone and I would like to thank all the men and women that enable myself to be able to live my life the way I do everyday without having to really worry about it.
