Las Vegas - Need some help/suggestions

So I'm heading to Vegas soon for a wedding and staying on the Flamingo property.

I'm looking for a place on/close to the strip that offers nightly live music. Preferrable to be Jazz, Blues, or Big Band era type stuff.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks in advance!

Nightly Music - Carnival Court at Harrah's.
Jazz, Blues, Big Band - not gonna find it anywhere near the strip.

If you are into pretty hard core rap, I know of a few underground clubs that are pretty tight.

    Another vote for Carnival Court.

There's also a piano bar in the lobby of Harrah's - it's more "Piano Man" stuff than anything else, though. I'm not sure if there'd be anything jazzy at NYNY?

ask the conciegre or entertainment director wherever you are staying. There are hundreds of local acts playing all over the strip and I know I have heard some jazz at some spots while wondering around...

Here's a list of Lounges in Vegas:
I GO CLUBS - Las Vegas Hotel Lounges

Also, might want to try the Indigo Lounge at Bally's:
    Bally's Las Vegas Events/Entertainment - INDIGO LOUNGE
Resident performers at the glamorous Indigo Lounge include Rick Michel and Nicholas Cole. Michelís show, Drinkiní, Singiní, Swinginí, is a salute to the Rat Pack, while Cole is a crooner who performs tunes made famous by Harry Connick Jr., Bobby Darin and more. You can see them both without ever paying a cover!

If you like dueling pianos, there is one in NY-NY
If you like dueling guitars, there is one at Hooters (go to tropicana and head east a block)

The last time I was there a couple years ago, we were going to go to the piano bar at NYNY but the line was out the door and around the corner. So we wandered over to Harrah's, not even knowing there was a piano bar there. We ended up spending the rest of the evening there, it was definitely a good time!

This will be a Monday night so hopefully crowds won't be TOO bad. Appreciate all the help!
