I loved the press conference tonight when he told us he was 'half in the bag' when he talked to the national media. CLASSIC!!!

    Re: Memories

5 years in a row beating Iowa was big for me. Also going to the Shrevport game was special for me as well.

I think the Houston Bowl meant a lot to me just the way that mccarney showed how to leave it all on the field

    Re: Memories

After the 8th win in 2001, I rushed the field with some buddies and ended up right by Mac. I was screaming "8-3, 8-3". Mac said "We've still got one more to win!". I thought that was pretty cool.

    Re: Memories

Right now what stands out for me was his passion and intensity for Iowa State University. We all have our opinion about his coaching ability, but NO ONE wanted to win more than him, and I gurantee you nobody hurt more when we lost. His enthusiasm for this program will go unmatched for a long time, in my opinion.

    Re: Memories

My favorite memory of Mac was going to Kinnick in '98 and watching us beat Iowa 27-9 for the first time in 16 years. That game seems just like yesterday, and I will never forget it.

    Re: Memories

Seeing my kids faces light up when we went up to see them on media day and how sincere his excitement was to meet some new fans. My kids still have his picture in their room. He made you feel like you were the most important person in the room when he was talking to you.

The bowl win against Pitt when he got the gatorade bath, that is a great memory of mine.

    Re: Memories

I will never forget his personality...always possitive...looking foward to the next game and win, lose or draw he always was clapping and pacing up and down the sidelines during the game.

I wish him the best of luck

No doubt about it, the first time that Mac defeated Nebraska.

    Re: Memories

The game at Arrowhead was one of those peak moments for me. With the entire nation watching, we proved to be a program on the rise and almost took down a national power. Cyclone fans were there in great numb ers and we took our tailgate show on the road.
