    Re: Mock Draft on ESPN

I want to go on record.

Kevin Love will be a bust

If the T-Wolves Trade down to take him, which I have heard rumored, it will be another mistake in a long line of mistakes for the T-Pups.

I would assume that they have a pretty good read on Mayo with Fred relationship to Tim and his insight so hopefully they knew what he can or cannot bring to the table.

I just don't like Love at this piont.

As well I found it interesting in the Mock Draft how many Foreign players are mentioned as draftees but that Pro teams aren't going to be able to sign them because of the money they are making in their home countries. To me I guess it would be wiser to choose someone you can get into your program and get something out of right away. We'll see I guess.

I agree with the Kevin Love opinion. If the T-Wolves trade down, I would want them to take a true PG like Bayless or Augustin.

    Re: Mock Draft on ESPN

I don't agree about Kevin Love - I truly think he could be an Elton Brand type player. As long as he keeps working on his back to the basket offense, he'll be a really good player. I'm not predicting all star games and what not, just a top 7 rotation guy on any team.
Augustin could be in danger of not being a very good pro. He's not big, doesn't play good defense, and doesn't have NBA perimeter range. He's a heck of a playmaker, but then so is everyone else in the NBA. And I like DJ a lot!!!

He seems like the next Adam Morrison kind of player to me. Good college player with lots of hype but just falls short when it comes to translating that to NBA success.

I guess in my top opinion a Top 10 pick should be better then a top 7 rotation guy. He should be a starter with All Star ability.

I think Brand plays above the rim where that is not Love's style at all. Love has a great Basketball IQ and knows how to play I just don't know if he has the physical abilities and size to play the NBA game.

Without that awful mustache. Is it just me or does Morrison look like a catfish?

I did see him and Bruner at the Final Four in Indianapolis in some club, It was a funny looking group, him with all his hair, Bruner with none.

It helps when you have a 7'5" wingspan. I'd hate to be Brand's tailor.

So is Kevin Love the next great Greg Ostertag? I think he will be better than people think.

    Re: Mock Draft on ESPN

well, based on where they were drafted I think Rose has a MUCH greater chance of being a bust than Love.

Rose reminds me of all the hype that Williams kid from UNC got a few years back ... a good player, but way overhyped and over drafted.

    Re: Mock Draft on ESPN

And the T-Wolves end up with Love...

Mike Miller should be alright I guess, but I don't see Love being the type of impact player that Mayo, Westbrook, or Bayless could have been. A more athletic post would have been a better fit as well IMO.

    Re: Mock Draft on ESPN

I think Love is the next Mehmet Okur. He will just hang around the three point line on offense make good passes and play just good defense and rebound to stay in the league a while... IMO Mike Miller is the key to this trade...

    Re: Mock Draft on ESPN

Yeah, he could be alright... just wanted an immediate impact guy. Someone who I can get excited about, but I don't think I can get too excited about Kevin Love.
