    Best guitarist ever?

I was checking out music videos on YouTube, got nostalgic and found a boat-load of old, (60's-80's), rock-and-roll, including some Ten Years After. I started reminiscing about the great guitarists of yesteryear and was wondering about people's choices for best ever.
    My top three:
    1. Alvin Lee (Ten Years After)
    2. Carlos Santana - still goin' strong!!
    3. Eric Clapton - best rock/blues picker I've ever heard
If you're young or lived on another planet in the 70's and haven't had a chance to listen to Ten Years After, check it out. It's' worth it!!

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

Ha Ha! I was wondering the same thing.

43-54 Record in CF Mafia. The most games played and wins by any player in Cyclone Fanatic History. Yes, I'm a nerd.

    Re: Best guitarist ever?

I know it's pretty much a cliche and I'm not really going out on a limb, but it's gotta be Eddie Van Halen. No one (except for maybe Hendrix) has been more innovative, influential, or just plain kicks ***** more.

    Some of my other favorites.....

    Billy Gibbons
    KK Downing and Glen Tipton
    Clapton
    Bruce Kulick
    Chet Atkins

Who is the bald guy that wears sunglasses all the time. I thought one of his albums was Silver Surfer but can't seem to find it anywhere.
