Football Season Ticket Sales - Updated

Sales are at 23,855. 6156 left to hit JP's goal of 30,000. Not sure how this compares to same time a year ago, but I am encouraged. Still are likely a fair number of renewals coming in each day. Now is a great time to get season tickets if you don't currently have them. If you do, invite a friend to get his and tailgate together. Can't afford a full season ticket? Share one with a friend or neighbor. JP's is doing his part. Mac has done much (let's not use this post to start another pro/con Mac debate) and now we keep doing our part. I will even forgive you if you buy season tickets sell your NE ticket to large pocketed NU booster who has more money than brains to pay for your season ticket. Just buy em. (BTW, yes I have my tickets)

I would really like to see our season ticket sales this year blow by 30,000 and end up closer to 35,000

    AS of 5/9/06

    27,002

I really can't see us not blowing by 30,000 now. It will be nice to see a consistently full JTS - Now we just got work on getting in the stadium before the team enters the field

CAn't agree more! Although I think it would be funny if we bought so many NU game tickets they couldn't bring their stupid "Red Sea" butts over to our town

It was great fun two years ago listening to them singing their go big red song in our johns and see their silence as the game went on.

Season seats are still available for as cheap as $150. That's 7 games for $21.42 apiece. You will not find a better deal for Big 12 season tickets anywhere.

Well we should easily have 30,000 sold by june at the rate it has been going....I dont know what they have done to get the info out to people, but hopefully we can get the total between 35,000 and 40,000....and hopefully Jamie can get every game this year to be similar to the Colorado game.. cause other then the Iowa game last year, it was the best game that Jack Trice has seen since at least 2002.

Do these numbers include student tickets? If so, I'm sure they will spike as the season gets closer. Not many students are going to purchase their tickets that far in advance.

At the chance to buy tickets to ISU/UI, I bought my student tickets the first second I could. A lot of my friends did the same thing, just to get tickets to the ISU/UI game.

I bet if we can top 35000 this year there will be a huge push to expand the stadium asap. Both sides to JT only hold a little over 40000, and the corners and endzones cover the rest. If the stadium were bowled in (giving us a legit 55000 seat stadium or so) and we could sell 35000-40000 plus every year - this would be a step in the right direction.

I just renewed this morning. I took it down to the wire because I was considering increasing my NCC donation, but hadn't figured out by how much.

Memory serves me right the students haven't maxed out their allotted space in recent years. With a Univeristy of 25,000 plus students you would think we would have a waiting list for tickets

I thought they did sell them out last year. I could be wrong, but I was sure I heard that at some time. How many students have already bought season tickets for next year as well? Could we be looking for like 5000 out of them still?
