University of Iowa in major danger of flooding

I know that we are all Cyclone fans, but I do not wish this on anyone. Even though they are our biggest rivals lets keep the students and citizens of Iowa City in our prayers as they try and save their city and campus.

Absolutely. On those few occasions when I'm not beset with rivalry passions, I have fond good wishes for all Regents' institutions. Afterall, most of us are Iowans . . . and, we pay state taxes. This is our state; we're a tribe of a sort.

I lived, worked, studied (kinda) at eiu for several years. Used to regularly make my way down the escarpment on which Hillcrest dorm sat, trudge across the river and up the far embankment to the Pentacrest area. Boy, much of that narrow valley between east and west high grounds must be a mess today. Haven't seen any photos yet.

I wish the best result possible for eiu and for the health and safety of its people; it's only for its athletics teams that I can imagine the worst (and some of what's been happening in that arena recently I wouldn't wish for my lowest enemies).
