    Dang, he was excellent.

The election coverage won't be the same without him.

This is a tragedy - I've loved his books, and I watch him religiously. I attended his public talk at Drake a few months ago.

    Re: Tim Russert dies.

That's a shame, I always enjoyed watching him. 58 is too young.

MSNBC made this a bigger story than the "R. Kelly found not guilty in child-porn case" story. Maybe there's still hope for humanity...

And on CNN, the R.Kelly story never preempted the flooding from the home page.

Very sad news, didn't watch much political stuff but almost everyone knows who Tim Russert is. Certainly an enjoyable person to watch on TV.

On the announcement from Tom Brokaw - classy all the way.

    Re: Tim Russert dies.

He was a guy that was very easy to listen to, even if you didn't agree with his perspective on something. You could tell he was passionate about what he did. Election coverage by Tim was a spectacle in itself.

Wow. I am really saddened. He was by far my favorite journalist. I liked him so much that I went to mass on Saturday night just so I could watch Meet The Press on Sunday mornings.

I didn't agree with his politics, but great great news announcer. Fair and balanced before it became a household term for the Fox network.
