    Water Power Closer to Reality?

This Japanese company is claiming to be able to produce consistent power from a stand alone system using only water and air. Fuel cell technology isn't new but what is new is the membrane they are using to achieve the seperation of the hydrogren and oxygen. They are breaking the water molecule up chemically and not with electrolysis. This company is just starting to get some press. We'll see if their claims can be backed by independent sources. Could be promising.

We do have plenty of water around.

I wonder if "purified" water is required. Because there actually isn't much potable water on the planet. I've read that potable water on the planet is 1-2% of all the water on the planet. The other water is salinated, polluted, or frozen.
