    Tornado text alerts

I have a blackberry for work and when I get text messages, a siren goes off. Is there a way to have text messages sent to a number when there is a tornado watch for a certain county?

Very good question. I want to know this as well. I don't have the weather radio thing, but seems like there should be something available by cell.

    I use Weather Underground.

Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground

There is a weather email link on the side menu bar. I give a small donation, but I use their site alot, because I'm a hobbyist weather nerd.

I've found their text messages to be very reliable.

In that case you might be interested in this site: GRLevelX Main Page it's what the national weather service uses, if you're on it you will get the warnings a minute or two before the radio does. You can get the grlevel3 for a twenty one day trial. Very cool stuff.
