    NBA Championship.... REFS

People argued with me when I commented on how bad the refs were during Game 2. I stated that refs play way to much into the home crowd IMO.

Game 2: Boston +28 in free throws attempted

Thus far in Game 3: Lakers +15

You can't tell me that the Lakers magically changed their game to make a change of 43 in just one half of play. It's ridiculous and I am even a Lakers fan!

I think the Lakers have been more aggressive in tonight's game.

The way basketball games are called in general is just weird. They will call things differently based on where it happens on the floor and who has the ball.

Please see this thread if you are confused as to the lack of consistency in NBA reffing.

They called 2 travels in the second quarter alone both against the Celtics...that's more than were called during the entire regular season. Something is up.

I have always wondered about the NBA. This will only fuel the fire. Too many NBA games see huge leads evaporate in the 4th quarter.

I admit I was skeptical......But with the article that came out today, about what Donaghy said......It is going to be hard to remain blind to the facts.......that the NBA is somewhat fixed or influenced to obtain certain advantages....Really Sad....

AND another tech on Kobe ... but that's probably just to disguise the coverup.

teams play better at home. The refs may be a little influenced by the atmosphere but nothing sinister.

and Donoughy is just trying to weasel out of jail time.

    Uh-oh! Lakers only +7 FT's now ... and fouls are 18 Lakers / 21 Celtics ...

AND the Celtics are winning !! ... wouldn't the league want the series to extend to make more money? Maybe they'll phone it in over the commercial.

Where did I say that the league had anything to do with this?? Read my post again. Never said it. I said that the coaches are way to influenced on the home crowd. Number speak for themselves this postseason. Its a fact

That short-bald ref that is over animated is very annoying. Just call the foul, people don't come to see you blow your whistle.

    Re: NBA Championship.... REFS

The NBA playoffs are completely rigged for bigger markets. It is all about letting the home team win and prolonging the series. The longer the series goes, the more ad space the NBA can sell. If you have any doubt about that statement, I suggest you follow the link posted above. The NBA has gotten to the point of WWE. If you have any doubts, again, read the posted link.

Whether or not the games are fixed, there is no denying that the officiating in the NBA is by far the worst among the major professional sports.
