    iPod

Well, I have decided it's time to break down and get an iPod. Mainly just for running and the classes I teach at Farrell's. Anyone have any suggestions on where to get a refurbished IPod nano?

    Re: iPod

Try and find an older nano on ebay or something. The new nano's suck.

The older ones are sleeker, thus you can get an armband for them that works. I would actually rather have a 2G shuffle for working out.

I was gonna say, that has to be a matter of opinion - I love my nano as well (just wish it had a bigger hard drive)

    Re: iPod

You can get nano's refurbished by apple here:

Apple Store (U.S.) - Welcome to the Apple Store

Bought a refurbished 80 gb 2 years ago, it's never had a problem. I highly recommend buying directly from apple.

Edit: The apple store is updating right now. But you should be able to check it out in a few minutes.

Any nano will work with the Nike+, you just have to make sure its updated to the newest firmware (iTunes handles this for you)

You really shouldn't ever run with any iPods except for a nano or a shuffle.

These two use flash memory to store their data where all the other iPods IIRC use a physical hard drive to store data. Read: Moving parts that don't like being bounced around.

I speak from experience (I had a period of 9 months where I got 4 different Minis from Apple support) when I tell you do not do this

Don't get a hard drive based Ipod for running... bad things happen.
