    Re: Rosenfels article

He (and other NFL backups) really don't get a fair shake at all because of money paid to 'name' QBs who may not be as good as the backup. I watched the games he won for Houston last year. Sage had some great comebacks. The management in Houston keeps trying to trade and draft above Sage, but they can't do it. Sage won 4 out of 5 games he started. I'm sure the players in the locker room wouldn't mind him starting..

It stinks that ISU has two alumni in the NFL that are stuck as backups when they would be quality starters for a number of other teams.

I think that's rather subjective. I think Sage could be a starter in the NFL - but he's got a number of things to improve on. Seneca - lots of unknowns there.

I'm interested to see what happens when Seneca after this season when Holmgren retires. He always refers to him as his "ace in the hole", but I wonder if the next staff will continue to see him as valuable

New head coach is already on the staff - Jim Mora. I'm assuming not much will change in the way of coaching staff personnel from this coming season to next in Seattle.

I think its been stated the WR is a for sure for him, but your right, that is an unknown.

    Re: Rosenfels article

Sage was a good QB for the Miami Dolphins too, and won many of the games he started. Considering the QB carousel they have there now, it would have been neat to seem him stay there and start.
