    Re: 13th street softball fields

Considering they (along with most of Ames) are basically a giant flood plain, my guess is 'no'. The Skunk River was really bad yesterday, and is only supposed to rise for the next two days.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

It might be possible that they're not underwater, but as far as being dry? I doubt it.

East 13th Street is closed due to flooding, so my guess is they are under water. The Skunk River north of Ames is one foot higher than its previous record stage right now...

    Re: 13th street softball fields

I drove by on my way to work this morning and and they had one lane closed on the north. The water was about halfway up on the out field fence (almost to the yellow on the little league diamond). So I'm assuming no games this week :(
