    ISU Women Win Exhibition Opener

Final Score: ISU 72, St. Cloud 50

The women looked pretty good. Nicky Wieben was strong in the post, Medders was a good ball handler as usual, but Tocorra Ross was the standout of the game in my opinion.

The girls have a good chance of having a very successful season. Go Lady Clones!

My only concern is the 3pt shooting, which in the past has been a crucial part of our lady Cyclones. Today they were only 5 for 20. Other than that, good job ladies.

I think three pt shooting will remain a characteristic of Fennelly teams, but, points-in-the-paint will play a larger role. I'd like to hear more about Wieben - was she aggressive moving toward the basket - blocking out on the boards? Ross was hoped to be a factor and it seems she will. Add in a healthy Rachel and I think we have a tremendous front line to complement an outstanding guard corps.

Weve got a pretty good football conference, and weve got a pretty good conference overall. Were still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that. Paul Rhoads
