Everyday benefits of the space program

We've all been seeing news about the Mars mission on tv and the internet, so I was curious about what benefits have come from the space program that we probably take for granted... found this pretty cool animated flash site. It makes the millions we are spending to go to Mars feel a little more worth it

well, if it makes you feel better, once china shoots down a few more satellites as tests, or starts claiming property rights on the moon in the next few years when they land there you will feel a lot better about everything we do in space. because they are definitely coming and definitely aren't doing for "the greater good" of pure science.
