    Just like basketball?

Should Pollard repeat what he did with basketball, with the football program? Clear out basically every staff member associated with it?

If I recall correctly, even the equipment guys were let go from the basketball program.

I wonder if the football program needs the same exact thing. Hate to say that, as there are a few assistants I'd like to see stay, plus I really like Don and Scott Knock.

But, maybe we just need a completely new and fresh unit.

    Thoughts?

No one will come in if they have any hold overs from the previous coaching staff, just like a few years ago with noone wanting to keep Wayne Morgan.

    Don Knock?

A lot of people around the program believe that Don Knock is difficult to work with! And from my experience with Don while in Cedar Rapids...I wonder why Mac has kept him around so long?

If McC is gone, so is Skaldany unless he is made the head coach. Barney was gone after the UNLV game in my book.

    Re: Just like basketball?

I would fire everyone even remotely associated with the football program, including McGettigan and the rest of the strength and conditioning staff.

    Re: Just like basketball?

It's fairly simple. Everyone is fired unless the new coach rehires them. Regardless of anyone's performance, the new coach needs to have the power to run his program.
