    OT: Oscar winning director Sydney Pollock died. Not the greatest of

    directors, but he did some pretty famous/critically acclaimed movies and was a pretty decent actor as well.

    Some of the ones I thought were good he directed:

    They Shoot Horses Don't They?
    Three Days of the Condor
    Tootsie
    Out of Africa
    The Firm

    Yeah, I was sad to hear that. I don't think I've ever seen any of the films he directed, but I thought he was a pretty good actor. I liked him in Michael Clayton and Eyes Wide Shut.

    I know it's kind of old school but I think Tootsie is one of the all-time great comedies.
