    Stadium looks Great

Stopped by for the 1st time since last fall. The new grass is beautiful and the glass on the west side gives it a big time feel. With our help this program is just getting started. How much for a skybox/suite on the west side?

If they hold 20, that is 2 apiece plus parking and my friends that would pay and me keeping the books and making sure I don't have a Saturday busy for every home game plus a 4 1/2 hour round trip each time. Hell by the time I bring all this together, ISU will be on TV every Saturday. Two years ago at the Kansas game it was very cold, we tailgated with Amy and Julius M., I asked Julius where their seats were and he pointed to the press box, I thought of course, why did I ask. I also sat on the 50 yard line in about 1976 in the club section. My friends mother was the President of the Regents at that time. I will walk in the mud and bear the elements forever I guess.. The day will soon come when I will have the old "walk uphill to the stadium and walk uphill back to the parking lot" stories for my grandchildren.

The new sod should be growing well with this cool, wet spring.

Do the boxes have individual sound systems to amplify the melody when the entire stadium is rocking to the vibes of Sweet Caroline?

It looks like the new ones have operable or sliding windows, and I think they may be even doing the same thing to the old ones? Anyone verify this? Just looks that way from the jake

Not 100% sure but pretty sure they were adding openable glass windows to all the suites

    seriously, you don't know why...

sights, smells, sounds.... one thing most baseball suites miss is the open air that open windows gives you.

That was definitely the plan. You can see that the windows are different now than they were. I'm excited to see what the Club Section looks like. That is going to be nice.

The stadium is starting to look sweet. Just wait till the endzone is bowled in and this stadium will be wonderful

    Re: Stadium looks Great

Took a tour of the construction site about a month ago before school ended for one of my Civil Engineering classes. All windows will be operable with sliding windows.

The tour leader said it was hard to get the suites in line since the stadium is built on a curve. He said that between each suite is a pie shaped wedge about 3 inches wide.

Also he said that absolutely no Iowa gear is to be worn by anyone of the workers on the site. He told a story about some guys spray painting "go hawks" somewhere in the stadium where they thought no one would find it. Well someone found it and the guys were caught. Don't know if they were fired.

Thats all i have. I was dumb for not bringing my camera to share some of the stuff that we toured.

Someone surely buried a Drew Tate jersey, if that is the case the curse of cry baby wannabe's will be sealed.

Haha that was actually brought up during the tour. The guide assured us of no buried hawkeye jerseys.

I debating in my head if those guys who spray painted should be :
    a. Shot
    b. buried alive
    c. beat to death
    d. shot in the legs, beat severly and then buried alive.
