    New Mt Dews...

    Do you "Do the DEW"?
If you are a drinker of Mt. Dew have you tried one of the new Mt. Dews that are/will be coming out in May/June?
I tried "Supernova", which is Strawberry, Melon, and Ginseng. I thought it was alright, dunno if its enough to get me back to drinking soda pop again.

I haven't tried them, but I did notice there were about 3 new mountain dew flavors at the gas station last time.

I still like the half dew half orange the best. I wish they did it in diet.

Nothing can top plain old diet dew! I drink way too much of it.

Haven't tried any of the new Dews but tried the new Dr Pepper Black Mamba Venom. Hands down the best energy drink I have ever had. Similar to Red Bull but tastier.

    Re: New Mt Dews...

I stopped drinking dew about 5 years ago, I just can't stand the stuff anymore. I did try the Code Red when it first came out, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't good enough to get me to pick that over the other pops I drink. Probably not going to try any new flavors of dew.

    Re: New Mt Dews...

I liked the grape MD that they came out with a few years ago. Of course they quit making it and then came out with a hideous sour-grape MD the next summer.

The "Halo" (orange & cherry?) MD they had out was pretty good, so I thought.

    Re: New Mt Dews...

Do these new dews come in the color blue by chance? I saw some kids getting onto my elevator last night with them and just thought they'd been using the dew bottles as mixed-drinks containers but now that I've seen this thread...I think I was wrong.

I'm still a big fan of the Code Red drinks.

    Re: New Mt Dews...

I drank way to much of it too until just recently, when I had a horrible bout with kidney stones. The doctor says no more dew - drink water! This really sucks.

Is that really true? Does MD actually contribute to kidney stones or is that just a myth?

    Re: New Mt Dews...

To me, anytime a flavor is added to an established "brand", it's like a bastardization of the original. As college students, my husband and I drank so much Mountain Dew that friends asked if we were serving it as punch at our reception. I reminded them what a clear glass bowl of that would look like... We still like the original best, but the caffeine-free version is a close second.

    Re: New Mt Dews...

All of it does, not just MD. It can cause the body to dehydrate which increases the likelihood for stones to be produced by the kidney. Coffee, tea, and pop are all bad because they're high in caffeine also.

I liked the Baja Blast Dew, but it's only sold at Taco Bells, and if you've ever been to the Ames Tb.... iesshh.
