    Re: Minor League Trade

The bat trade wasn't the first time Calgary came up with some creative dealmaking. The Vipers once tried to acquire a pitcher for 1,500 blue seats when they were renovating their stadium, Young said.

what is roger dorn running this team? .... nevermind atleast he could get players to replace players not items for organizational convience use .... wow what a crazy story ....

Len and Bob talked about this during the Cubs broadcast tonight... They said just to fly a player that was traded would cost over 1k.

That's when you know its time to let go of baseball...

A few years ago, I traded my fantasy football backup QB to my buddy for a handful of Doritos.

Maybe the other team paid for shipping (for both sides)?

It's a very good possibility we will be there one of the next couple Friday nights; my new engine should be done sometime this week. We went to watch last night; only 13 Late Models. I'll let you know when.

    Tragic ending to this story:
Minor League Baseball: The Sad Demise Of John Odom, The Player Who Was Traded For Bats
Three weeks after the trade, he abruptly left the team. Six months after the trade, he was dead. The medical examiner said Odom's death in Georgia on Nov. 5 at age 26 was an accidental overdose from heroin, methamphetamine, the stimulant benzylpiperazine and alcohol.
